The Autism Education Trust (AET) is a DfE supported not-for-profit organisation. Its mission is to create and deliver a national professional development programme to enhance knowledge, understanding and skills in the workforce across Early Years, Schools and Post-16 settings to meet the needs of autistic children and young people.
The AET is widely recognised as the leading autism education programme in England. Its training programme, website and online resource centre contain a wealth of information, resources and strategies to help education professionals better support autistic children and young people. All the materials have been developed with the direct involvement of leading autism specialists, academics, education professionals and people on the autism spectrum.
